I finished composing “To You” this past Wednesday, leaving only “Permanently” to be written in at least a moment, which I’ll start tomorrow afternoon.

This past week, I also performed two really nice songs by two of my colleagues, Eric Taxier and Casey Hale, at City College as a part of the Musicians Accord reading sessions.  It was a lot of fun, and I look forward to singing more by these two composers.  I also had two minor pieces read by the ensemble: a short Gymnopedie, and an arrangement of “In the dark pine-wood” from till night is overgone.

Look forward to a new photo gallery this week.  I took some headshots with a wonderful photographer, Kaity Volpe, over the summer, and I’m finally putting them up!  (More on Kaity later….)  With the new photos will come a new gallery in general.  Although it will look very, very similar, there will be significant changes in the way it operates.  This shift presages larger, more fundamental changes to come in the next few months.

In the next few weeks, I’ll be starting a new project to inclusion on the site: a series of vodcasts on the artistic life.  I’ll be doing these videos in several series of seven “episodes” over the coming year or so.  Each “episode” will be a general discussion of challenges and considerations in a young artist’s life – things like the search for a Voice, and the lamentable scarcity of patrons in this day and age.  I have the first two Series planned, and will start taping the first in November.  The only thing that’s missing is a title!  I’m looking for any suggestions I can get.  Anything?
