New song cycle

I’ve begun work on the new song cycle for the 2008 Staunton Music Festival.  The seven songs will be on poetry by Mark Statman, who I met at the VCCA last March.  I’m really excited to work with Mark’s poems.  I hope to have the cycle finished by the end of June.

The songs will be premiered by soprano Julia Klumpp on Tues., Aug 19.
